SUNSET BOULEVARD AND FILM NOIR STYLE INSPIRATION

Our look book full of style inspiration from Sunset Boulevard's femme fatale Gloria Swanson and her sweet girl next door counter part Nancy Olsen. To some of the most sultry vixens of film noir.

Gloria Swanson
Gloria Swansons Norma Desmond had one of the finest femme fatale wardrobes. A faded silent movie whose fashion and makeup has the uber dramatic quality needed for silent films but with added 50s glamour. Sweeping ball gowns with chiffon, sparkling jackets, furs and diamonds were perfect femme fatale staples. With long evening gloves, veiled hats and leopard print as the perfect accessories. Two of her least glamourous outfits are probably her most memorable. All dressed up as the suits tramp as she plays Charlie Chaplins  and hidden behind her head scarf and sun glasses.

Nancy Olson
A complete contrast to Norma, Nancy is the girl next door in prim and proper shirts and cardigans and plain but sweet 50s dresses.

The Famous Femme Fatale's
Femme fatales dressed to kill in dark clothes, either cocktail dresses, evening gowns or pencil dresses and fitted suits. Often finished with furs, veiled hats and always with killer heels.
