Welcome to Film Fatale, a new bi-monthly film event that transports the audience back to the golden age of cinema. Screening the crème de la crème of classic films in the sumptuous surroundings of the Sugar Club, this night of cinema nostalgia and old-style Hollywood glamour will mirror the style of the films being screened.
Opening Film Fatale’s 2011 season is one of Hollywood's most treasured classics ‘Some Like It Hot’. Marilyn Monroe’s charm, perfectly matched by the pairing of Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon’s comic duo, makes ‘Some Like It Hot’ Billy Wilder’s most sizzling comedy. After the screening, a themed after-party will include a live performance by singer Sugar Kane and DJs playing hits from the movie and the era.
The audience is invited to take part in setting the scene by dressing up at their vintage finest for the event. Themed cocktails will be specially prepared for all the Sugar Kane, Daphne and Josephine lookalikes.
The event will take place on 5th February at 8pm in the Sugar Club, 8 Lower Leeson St., Dublin 2. Tickets go on sale January 5th www.tickets.ie (€13.50)
